My Goals will be as follows:
Physical well-being: Eating healthier, decreasing the amount of red meat for dinner from 5x per week to 3x per week. It will be a creative challenge to plan meals without meat. I will make time to take out the cookbooks and see what I can come up with.
Spiritual well-being: Meditate dailyy, I will put a block of time every day to meditate and journal. I will choose a specific time of day to devote to meditation and journaling (hopefully that will make it easier to follow through).
Psychological well-being: I will counter every negative self-talk statement with a positive affirmation. I will carry my positive affirmation cards with me at all times so I have no excuse!

Hmm, I already plan three meals a week without meat-other than possibly fish. What I have done is increased the number of fresh veggies we eat and making sure fresh fruit and salad fixin's available. That way even my daughter has started eating chef salad when hungry instead of eating up the dry cereal. I have managed today to keep from getting irked when the students from a certain age group started playing their (RAP) rejected attempts at poetry loud enough to make the table shake. I was able to calm my breathing, envision their radio breaking or having the batteries dying and went back to work. Twice I have had to remind myself that the problems we are having right now are not my fault. I didn't try to catch GBS, it just happened that way.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds great and I hope you achieve all of your goals. I can tell you there are some wonderful cookbooks out there. A couple of them by betty crocker have really helped my wife and I change to a much better balanced dinner time. We, she is trying very hard to get the rest of my day corrected also. It is a work in progress and not perfection. I had to steal teachers saying, it really works. Good luck on all three goals
