Question 2
A mental workout increases and develops our inner awareness and the healing abilities available to us when we are willing to invest time in ourselves through contemplative practice. Through this practice, we gain fulfillment through harmony, intelligence, kindness happiness, and intuition This is only available to us through higher levels of consciousness. In helping me to figure out many of my own dilemmas (be it stress, problem solving, to find peace, etc.) I incorporate this practice to promote my psychological health. Honestly, for me what’s most difficult is to make meditation a part of my daily routine. Like so many others, I tend to get caught up in this busy life cycle.

Hmm, when I answered my question on the blog i put both questions together. I hope that was okay. I do find that what you said about attaining happiness or fulfillment is not realy possible unless we are able to invest the time needed to make such a change.
ReplyDeleteYes our busy lifestyle, the whole probl;em in the first place I assume. I am asguilty as anyone for telling others how to and then I dont follow through in my own life. One thing this class is doing is letting me know it is ok to give me sometime for me. It is not selfish to take care of ourselves it is making ourselves better to help others. Kind of a viscious cycle but it works. You are also correct in mental workouts help opur minds deal with everyday stuff alot easier and cleared. It helps us deal with us in a more efficient manner.
ReplyDeleteIt does feel like sometimes we don't have enough time to take a few minutes for ourselves. I wasn't particularly happy with this exercise. I did do it a few times and it did get easier, but not one that I think I would recommend yet. I don't think we need to practice all these techinques learned to be fulfilled, but find one or two that work for you. I didn't like this one. Would I suggest it to someone yes, recommend no. good luck!
