Meeting Asciepius
I enjoyed this meditation better than any other on the CD. I loved honoring my mentor this way and felt full of peace at the end of the meditation. I have felt grounded lately. I know it has to do with making time to meditate regularly. It is just too easy to slip back into busy and not even realize it. Contemplative practice allows me to fill up with what is important and handle the day to day junk more easily. I just need to find a regular timeslot in my day to make it happen daily.
"One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself"
I see this to mean that in order for us to truly share our gift(s) with others we must evolve mentally, physically and spiritually ourselves. Ultimately we can only take another so far then allow them to make the rest of their journey on their own.

I agree with you we need to evolve ourselves in order to fully help our clients, which in turn is helping ourselves. A neat little circle that just keeps helping.
ReplyDeletewhen you do find a regular time for the exercises you will find they even help more because your body starts to look for it because we know that mental fitness has positive physical benefits. The peace was nice at the end, good luck with your peace
I'm so glad that you are finding time for yourself lately! I think its amazing how we can honor our mentors and invite them into our lives. Sharing this part of us has it's benefits..why not share it with the one you admire the most!:-) Great post!
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you are doing your meditation regularly. I have been doing the same and I love the benefits. I am much more calm, relaxed, and less moody. I will practice meditation from now on. Great Post!!!
