Week 10

For Unit 3 I scored myself as follows: Physical-8, Spiritual-9, Psychological-6.
My scores now are: Physical: 7, Spiritual-8, Psychological-7. I believe the score has changed because I have a bigger picture, or more information of what each of catagories represents. For instance, physcial is not just about changing one's consumption of red meat and exercising it involves much more.

I have started implementing the goals I have set for myself. I feel that the goals I set for myself are completely do-able which makes it easier to follow. I am not one to set unrealistic goals for myself as I feel that is to set myself up for failure.

I have been incorporating the activities I chose for myself and I do feel better. I think it is too early to notice significant changes but feeling better is an important factor. I have changed my meditation practices to include some of the practices we learned in class. The subtle mind meditation is a challenging one for me, but I will not give up!

I feel that I have a much stronger feeling of well-being since I started this class. It's an overall feeling of contentment, not one that I can pinpoint to a specific exercise or chapter we studied because I was interested in everything!

What I found most difficult was that I was so excited about what we learned I wanted to share the knowledge with my friends and family. Some were very open to the knowledge but many were not. That was a huge lesson of acceptance for me. I feel that this lesson has opened my eyes to the fact that many people in the world may not be ready for integral health. It's sort of like looking at the cup half full or half empty. I can choose to focus on those that are not ready but I am going to focus on the people that are.

  1. Susan I had similar results in my scoring from Unit 3. I have higher expectations than I did then. I am happy that you have been able to incorporate some of what we have learned.

It is too bad that your friends and family are not open to what you have learned. Eventually they will see what it has done for you. I know some of my friends have noticed that I am calmer.

Enjoy your journey to Integral Health.

  2. Susan,

Contentment. A single word that means so much. I am so very happy to hear that you have a stronger sense of well-being, that in and of itself is worth all the money a college degree can cost, isn't it? Congratulations, and I hope to see you again.

  3. Susn,

I'm happy to see that you have noticed a change over the past weeks. We both know that life is full of surprises, but we do know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks so much for allowing yourself to to express your views, concerns and achievements. I will miss reading your blogs on a weekly basis. Believe it or not, your post often gave me a sense of hope as I opened my eyes to new challenges. Best of luck to you!

  4. Seeing a change in ourselves can mean so much. Even if our friends/family never accept these as being a painless, medication free solution to much of the stress the deal with each week/each day, getting to the point we can be happy with us at what we are at that moment, is so very important.

  5. Thank you susan, I think it will prove to be very important for some of us to stay in touch to help our growth and help us along the journey.

  7. You make an interesting point. Some do not accept integral health as easily. However, maybe you can be a starting point. Those close to you may respect integral health more by seeing your personal growth. I commend you on your improvements. Best of luck to you.
